Finally... feeling rather guilty for leaving her unfinished so long, I took her back to the studio stripped her of her pretty blonde tresses, gave her a "dark do", Vamped up her eye makeup (it was rather pale before), and added her tattered head dress, and Volia! Emerged her true identity, the "Ghost Bride"! Now I really love her!
Her neckpiece is a 17th century applique, Love that old tarnished look. Her gown was a remnant from and antique french ball gown. The only thing I don't care for is she needs a doll stand, which I really dislike, as most my dolls are free standing, and I feel the stand distracts from her other worldly-ness. I guess I'll have to create some unseen stand for her.
But, she went from one of those dolls that just didn't seem to go anywhere to being on of my favorites...and it only took under two years!!LOL!
Hope you enjoy her!

wow - I really love her, too.
She's exquisite.
Gail, she is fabulous! I agree that a hidden stand for her would help, but gosh, it sounds like she has really come into her own!

Sometimes they really take awhile before coming to fruition...nice job!
Dear Gail
She was meant to be... Everything just fits her personalty. Just had to wait for it.. Outstanding workmanship as always.
warm regards,

Yeah I recognize your story...some take a long long time to finish. She turned out gorgeous in the end.
She is wonderful Gail. Its amazing how little changes can alter the personality of a creation. Even though sometimes we can dictate how a doll comes into being and what she will look like I feel a lot of the time it is they who often tell us what they want to be.

I absolutely agree with Debie. Much like a good story that tells itself, these dolls emerge on their own or they are never quite "right". And she is perfect!

she is lovely Gail!
She's stunning Gail... I can't even imagine what she looked like with blond hair!
It's funny how a doll will sit or stand for a lengthy time until finally you see the real doll inside.
Are you going to keep her now that she's one of your favorites?
Much love~
Greetings Gail!
Just had to pop in once again to gaze at her. I just love your work, and as soon as I hear the music I feel like a child again! ...

How did I miss this post?? She's fabulous!
She is fab, it is funny how things sometimes take time to tell you what they want to be but you got there in the end. I don't like it when my creation won't stand on thier own either.
